MANGOTSFIELD Primary School pupils held their own Easter Day event combining religious education lessons with a celebration.
Reception children in Apple class were among those who made Easter bonnets and artwork for the event.
Early Years Foundation Stage and Year 1 lead Jo Sihag said: “The day started with Easter bonnet parades in our Easter classes.
“We learnt about Holy Week and the importance of this to Christians in our RE learning.
“We all worked on different displays to retell the story of Holy week, with the reception children ending the day reading to our ‘buddies’ in Year 5 and making Easter crafts.”
